Following the departure of the Hungarian group – off to enjoy a few days on Croatian beaches, so we’re not jealous at all really! – we have had a couple of interesting changes of guest contingent. June and Barry called in for a coffee having met us at the NEC last year and stayed two days, leaving – apparently reluctantly – this morning for Lake Bled. Careful with those cream cakes, guys and look forward to catching up with you again in the winter!

Yesterday we acquired (if its allowed to say that of much welcome guests) Gill and Austin on (respectively) a Suzuki SV650 and a Moto Guzzi, and Sue and Alex  – on a 300CC Vespa! They did 500 miles yesterday from our colleague John Durcan’s place in Boppard on the Rhine and ended up arriving with a police escort having, like many others before them, put our postcode into their Sat Nav and got hopelessly lost – the postcode like many in Europe covering almost the whole valley and the Sat Nav having tried to take them to the geographical centre, halfway up a mountain!
