Two weeks from today we will be putting the finishing touches to our new stand at Motorcycle Live. Right now we are surrounded by boxes of leaflets, carrier bags, handouts and bits of our stand.  We are struggling with lists of tasks – so much to do – just to give you an idea I’ve been back in the UK for five days now and have not been inside a single pub.  Oh how we sacrifice ourselves for you people!

As this will be our third time at the NEC we thought a new stand might be nice.  Our previous efforts were described as “homely”; quite appropriate really as that is what we aim at in the hotel.  For the 2011 show we will have a new and very striking backdrop and a slightly more “professional” look for which we are indebted to the creative skills of Andy from The Sign and Print Centre.  What remains the same is the philosophy behind our approach.   We are there to meet prospective guests personally, to share our enthusiasm for the area and for biking in general.

The Usual Suspects!

This year we have had so many offers of help from previous guests so in addition to the staff team of Ros and myself , Jane and Martin plus for her first NEC appearance, young Rosalie, we also have an impressive list of people making guest appearances.  So on the first weekend Adrian & Sandra from Wales, on various days during the show Pete & Di from Milton Keynes, Michele & Rob from Suffolk, Earl from Up North, are all helping out.  On the final weekend our most regular guest, Leigh, is flying in from France to meet you all.

What’s more, we are expecting to see lots of this seasons guests coming along to say hello (several have already told us when to expect them!) and have produced two collages made up of “compulsory leaving photos” taken during the summer – (you see we DO do something with them!).  We hope we have included everyone, but if you come along and find your picture missing then we will give you an IOU for a free beer from our bar at Gasthof Hochalmspitze.

Meantime – its back to the preparations for now, plus of course just a few little personal things such as getting our Christmas shopping done, catching up with a seemingly infinite number of friends and relations, working on next year’s bookings as well as the first steps towards our stand at Motorbeurs 2012! And you all thought we had come back to the UK for a holiday!!!!
