Carinthia is the southernmost province of Austria and is bordered by both Italy and Slovenia, both of which are less than an hour’s a drive from us. We are also about 90 minutes drive south from the German border (at Salzburg).

From the northern French/Belgian channel ports and tunnel we are between 1170 & 1250 kilometres away (Zeebrugge being the nearest port) and can easily be reached with one or two overnight stops (see our ‘Partners‘ page for suggestions). We can even suggest a route that avoids French tolls!

Being so centrally placed it is easy to include trips to a whole range of other countries in your holiday here (Trieste 2 hours, Venice 3 hours, Ljubljana 2 hours, Berchtesgaden (The Eagle’s Nest) 2 hours etc. – or to travel on from here to some other wonderful places, Hungary, Croatia, Slovakia, The Czech Republic, Switzerland, Lichtenstein…..
