Carinthia has so much to offer, it is hard to know where to start a list! And with the National Park Card we think most people could spend several weeks here and spend almost nothing.

For bikers the roads are almost too wonderful for words  – our  30 plus specifically created routes for Garmin & TomTom Sat Navs will allow you to make the most of whatever time you spend with us, and if you don’t use a GPS we have tanktop printouts to use in conjunction with our route notes and a good old fashioned map!

Hikers too are spoiled for choice, with paths and tours extending from the gentle stroll to the high alpine trek. We have recently added a GPS device to our range of options for our walking guest and hope soon to be able to offer as many routes on this as we have for Garmin!

If you just want to come and relax and sightsee, you too will find plenty to do – so many of the museums, exhibitions, cable cars, boat and toboggan rides are free or reduced with the NP Card. Families especially benefit, as there are a range of activities and attractions in the area specifically designed with the younger visitor in mind.

And of course if you just come to enjoy our wonderful scenery, the mountains, the lakes, the rivers, the alpine meadows, then those too are all easily accessible by car, bike, bus or on foot.

Winter obviously brings a whole of different, but equally exciting options – 3 ski areas within 25 minutes drive, ice climbing on our doorstep, as well as snow-shoeing, sleigh rides, cross country ski tours to tempt you. Not far away you will find the highest lake in the Alps offering season-long public ice skating and the chance to watch the Dutch long distance champions practice!
