An exciting new opportunity for 2013 – 3 weekend workshops exploring our valley through the medium of photography led by our great friend and colleague Achim Meurer. Capture forever the experience of visiting us in Winter, Spring and/or Autumn. All inclusive prices for accommodation, meals and tuition and advice from this great HDR specialist. The Malta Valley is also known as the ‘Valley of the Waterfalls’. In winter the whole valley turns into a huge playground for ice climbers. Countless forms and sculptures made out of frozen water shine in incredible colours. Its one thing to look at and admire this beauty but how do you capture the sight in a photo?
Enjoy the landscape of the Alps in winter time and learn how to take the right photo of it. What is different when taking pictures in ice and snow. How do I make the best out of my photos? What tips and tricks can I use in editing?
We will go out together on a photowalk in the valley during the annual ice climbing festival
and discover the beauty of nature and icy landscapes. We will learn how to capture the right moment and how to nicely compose ice climbers.
Spend three days with photographer Achim Meurer and learn from the professional!
Programme
Friday, 18.01.2013 - Arrival
- 5.30 p.m Welcome/Meet and greet with aperitif,
- dinner followed by initial introduction
Saturday, 19.01.2013 – photo walk
- 9.30 a.m Drive to the frozen waterfalls at Maltahochalmstraße in the Malta Valley. Taking photos in the group of winter landscapes, ice and ice climbers
- lunch snack on site
- about 3 p.m return to Gasthof Hochalmspitze
- dinner followed by screening of the pictures taken, feedback & discussion
Sunday, 20.01.2013 – photo editing
- 10 a.m – 3 p.m editing
- 1hr lunch break with snack
- dinner followed by presentation of the best shots
Monday, 21.01.2013 - departure
Price per Person 399 Euros
incl. Taxes, half board, lunch snack, welcome drink, three nights in a double room and photo workshop (single supplement 10 Euros per night)
