By Air – nearest airports are Klagenfurt, Salzburg, Ljubljana, and Graz. Ryanair and Easyjet fly to one or more of these, as do the German budget airlines like Tuifly & German Wings as well as Austrian Airlines of course!

Car Hire

is available at all airports and can be booked through all the major car hire websites. N.B. With most companies, cars hired in Austria will need special permissions (at extra cost) to cross into Slovenia and other Eastern European countries. Cars hired in Slovenia can go anywhere within the current EU.

Airport Shuttle

An alternative way to get here from Klagenfurt and Salzburg is to book the airport shuttle – you need to do this through us as it is part of the National Park Card Scheme and there are discounts for our customers. Just let us know you flight numbers and times and we will do the rest! Once here there is plentiful and cheap public transport plus the daily (Monday-Friday) National Park Walkers’ buses to get you about.
