Introduction to Gasthof Hochalmspitze

Our friendly, family-run hotel sits on a quiet street in the heart of the charming little village of Malta. The hotel is decorated in traditional Austrian style and is warm and welcoming.

As is common in this part of the world, the bedrooms are in a separate building directly opposite the reception and restaurant area, ensuring a good night’s sleep for those who prefer to retire early.

Meals are served in our attractive restaurant, which also houses the bar, or on our sunny outside terrace. We also have a smaller, separate dining room, perfect for small functions or meetings and private dinner parties.

We are really lucky to have a staff team comprising 4 lovely local ladies who know the area, the hotel and the hospitality business really well and who will work hard to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Our Neighbours

We could not leave out from our introductions our neighbours Wolfgang and  Klaudia Gollenz, who own and manage the valley’s Donkey Sanctuary, where our guests can enjoy free entry to see their wide range of well cared for animals.
